TV Wall Mount Installation
A lot of things that we do for entertainment these days come from the TV. Whether that’s playing video games, watching your favourite shows or movies, or watching your favourite sports team win that big game. A downside? They take up a good amount of room that could be used for things. You have to get a tv stand find the right stop in the room that works with your furniture and the bigger the television, the bigger the headache…especially if you live in a small house or apartment. The first step is choosing the right wall mount for you and your TV. There are four different types of mounts: Fixed mount, Swivel wall mount, Tilting tv mount, and Full motion tv wall mount. Here is a brief description of them:
Fixed TV wall mount: A fixed position that is flush against the wall
Swivel TV wall mount: You can pivot the television right and left.
Tilting TV wall mount: You can tilt the TV for a better viewing experience.
Full-motion TV wall mount: You can adjust the TV monitor up, down, left, and right. Some models have a telescoping arm that can be helpful when the television is near a corner.
All wall mounts have a size and weight limit. Make sure your TV fits within the limits.
After you have found the right TV mount, it is time to decide where you want the mount installed on the wall. It is important that the location is near power outlets and it shouldn’t be in direct sunlight or blocking air vents. A way to test where you want your television is to cut out a piece of cardboard the size of you TV and fix it to your wall with painters’ tape. Try this out around the room.

Installation
First thing is locating the studs, most wall mounts need only one or two studs to be installed safely. If the mount is getting installed into brick, there won’t be studs so use masonry anchors. Using a level, we then mark where the holes will be on the wall.
Next, we will install the mount onto the wall, lining up the holes on the walls. Very important to make sure its level before we start drilling the holes. Follow the instruction manual for putting the mounting plate on your TV.
Now it is time to install the TV to the wall mount. If you have a bigger TV this will be a two-person job to make sure you don’t hurt yourself or damage the TV. Every wall mount is different so referring to the manual is the best way to do it. Always double check the connection between the TV and the wall mount is secure.
