TOILET INSTALLATION
A toilet is one of the most heavily used items in a house and also a very scary thing when it doesn’t work properly. It can also start to damage your bathroom as water can leak from where it connects to the wall or floor, sometimes the water can run between some cracks and you never see it. Maybe you see a bump in ground around where the toilet connects to the floor or tile. Cue the moldy smell in your bathroom. Or maybe you just want to update to new a toilet that has the fancy bells and whistles. Don’t worry at Handyman Kitchener I am experienced in removing the old model and completing the new toilet installation.
FLOORING INSTALLATION
A new floor in a kitchen or family room can really make a room feel new and refreshed. Whether that’s sheet vinyl or a laminate!
Laminate is a great choice for homeowners. Laminate is manufactured to simulate ceramic tile and hardwood but costs significantly less (sounds like a good deal to me). Laminate can give you the amazing look of tile without you having to worry about the tile cracking or having to clean the grout! As for hardwood, many of the designs are also found in laminate including some rare wood species.
Sheet vinyl can give you the look of stone and wood grain patterns for a much lower price and requires much less maintenance. Vinyl flooring is mainly used in kitchens and in bathroom because then have a strong resistance to moisture and of course have plenty of colours and textures!
TV WALL MOUNT INSTALLATION
There is nothing better than getting home from a long day and putting on your favourite show or maybe your favourite sport event. So why not position your TV at a better angle for lighting and viewing pleasure by installing it on the wall with a mount? This can also help create more space! Instead of having that clunky TV on a stand, you can maybe add some nice décor and have your room really stand out more! There are many different types of mounts for your television big or small. Single arm full motion mounts for 37” to 70” TVs and a double arm motion mount for 37” to 90” TVs!
DRYWALL REPAIR
So you leave for work and all your walls look normal. You come home from work and yup… now you have a nice fist sized hole or maybe a gaming controller sized hole in your drywall. So now here you are googling “how to fix small holes in drywall”. Fixing a hole that is 1-2” is a fairly simply fix. All you need is a utility knife, paper tape, drywall compound, drywall knife and a drywall sander sponge. The job should take you about 2 hours. If the hole in your drywall is around the 6-8” size then the job gets a bit trickier as a drill and wood saw may be needed. If the idea of going to a crowded Home Depot on a Sunday to get the materials and tools needed for the job sounds exciting to you then go for it, I believe in you! If you’re like most people, that probably sounds terrible. So send me, I’m used to those checkout lines…trust me.
PICTURE HANGING
You’re out shopping you see this beautiful picture for a great price and you buy it. You already know the exact room and spot on the wall for it and you’re so excited! One problem.. you have no idea how to hang this picture in a safe way that it won’t fall off the wall if one of your kids slams a door if they lose in Fortnite (video game reference). Or maybe you do know how but it’s just such a big beautiful picture that you can’t lift it alone and you are afraid of damaging the picture or possibly injuring your shoulder. Together we can hang that picture and add that amazing splash to that room that you envisioned when you first saw it at the store!
